Good Morning out there! I don’t know about the rest of the country, but here in the Northeast, it really cooled down over the weekend. I truly appreciate it not being 95 degrees anymore, but it was barely touching 60 degrees yesterday in Pennsylvania and I wasn’t quite ready for that drastic of a drop. I think we’re back in the 80’s this week, but I hope the humidity controls itself.
I hope you all had a fantastic weekend! I certainly did as I mentioned we went home to Pennsylvania to visit my family and we had a nice, relaxing time.
Saturday morning came and I decided to go for an 8-mile run. Whew, let me tell you, those hills by my parents house are no joke. It was good though, I usually run on pretty flat courses, so this got the heart pumping and booty working, even if I did have to walk up some of them.
These pictures don’t even do it justice, but this one was a killer!
I also had a few new running buddies to cheer me along…
That afternoon was supposed to be spent at Knoebles, my favorite amusement park growing up, but the weather had other plans for us.
It started raining early afternoon, and nobody wanted to spend the rest of the day outside in the cold rain, roller coasters or not, so we went with plan B. This consisted of a ride to my dad’s block manufacturing plant where he gave us a little tour of the plant. It’s been years since we’ve been and AJ and my brother-in-law have never seen it, so that was a lot of fun.
We then took a driving tour of my alma mater, the University of Scranton! Unfortunately the off-campus house I lived in junior and senior year is no more 😦
So much of campus has changed, and the students walking around all looked so young! (I think that means I’m officially getting old.)
Upon waking up on Sunday, we discovered that our wedding announcement was in the local papers! That was so much fun to see, and perfect timing. I’m glad I finally got around to submitting that a few weeks ago.
The rest of the day was church, then home for football, lunch, and naps before getting back on the bus to NYC.
Monday Motivation – New Shoes!
This morning I decided to (try) make Monday fun by wearing new shoes!
I recently ordered these from J.Crew Factory and I love them! A little pop to spice up an outfit. They’re already super comfortable too, I think they’ll be on my feet a lot this fall.
Because I was away all weekend, I didn’t get a chance to grocery shop. I thought I had some yogurts left in the fridge, but sadly that was not the case. So breakfast this morning was faux healthy, courtesy of the office vending machines.
And that’s that. Hope you all have a great Monday!
