Oh, hi there Friday! I have to tell you, I’m pretty pumped for tomorrow, AJ and I are going to see The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 2 in the morning followed by brunch followed by a Friendsgiving in Queens. Needless to say, by Saturday night we will be fully engulfed in a food coma. I hope you all have some fun weekend plans!
Before we get there though, I’m excited to share some of my favorite things with you this week!
I started Christmas shopping last month and came across this tote on the J.Crew Factory website. I love tote bags because I can fit everything I need for the day in it – wallet, umbrella, make up bag, computer, miscellaneous items, and I thought this one was so cute! It was on sale so I decided to buy it thinking it would be a good Christmas gift for someone. Well, when it arrived I decided that someone would be me.
I love it! It’s so big and roomy and can fit all my things (because I’m somewhat of a bag lady) and the pattern adds just the right amount of flare!
Trader Joe’s Ice Cream
So I discovered something this week and it’s dangerous. Trader Joe’s Speculoos Cookie Butter Ice Cream. I don’t even know where to begin, it’s creamy, it’s sweet, it’s buttery. It’s been my snack after dinner every night this week.
I’ve been really overdue for a new personal computer and recently came across this guy at Best Buy and couldn’t say no. Plus, it was on sale!
It was delivered on Wednesday and I’m obsessed. It’s super lightweight (and will fit perfectly in my new tote!), and this royal blue color is very eye catching. I can’t wait to make the blog even better on this bad boy!
I took the bait to sign up for Stitch Fix and got my first shipment this week! If you’re not familiar with it, Stitch Fix is basically an online personal stylist. When you sign up, you take a style quiz, indicate how much you’d like to spend on various articles of clothing and accessories, and a stylist will pick out several items to ship to you.
I decided to give it a try because I’ve become a little uninspired shopping at the same old stores and felt like I needed a little styling help. I paid $20 and got 5 pieces shipped right to my door! I have 3 business days to decide on what I want to keep and I can just send the rest back via UPS (for free). The $20 styling fee will be applied to any items I keep and the remaining balance will be charged to my credit card.
Stay tuned for my full review and the pieces I selected. There was one piece that I was so excited about as soon as I opened the box!
I’ve told you before how much I love my morning runs and since I will be spending my Saturday morning at the movie theater I decided to start this Friday of right and knock out 6 miles before work.
I already knew I wasn’t going to want to wake up extra early on this chilly morning and put in the miles, but I also knew how motivated I would feel afterwards. You never regret a workout, right? Plus, that view….
I hope you all have a fantastic Friday! Even though the weekend always goes so fast, it’s so nice to have a short holiday week coming up!
