Wow, I can’t believe we’re already at New Year’s Eve! Our night over here is going to be pretty low-key. AJ and I traveled so much over Christmas and we both have an upcoming work trip to Phoenix, so we decided to stay local for a quiet celebration tonight.
We are heading to La Mirabelle on the Upper West Side for dinner. We actually went here last year and were easily the youngest people there by about 30-40 years! However, the food was delicious and because it’s not exactly the hip place to be, we don’t have to pay crazy NYC prix-fix prices just to go out for dinner. Afterwards, we’ll come home and pop a bottle of champagne, watch the Times Square ball drop on TV, and head to bed.
By the way, I’ve never actually gone to the Times Square NYE Celebration because…Times Square + 1 million people = nope, but 3 years ago, we stopped by after midnight on our way home from a party. Wow, did that place clear out right after the ball drop! By the time we got there, there was just leftover confetti, a few street vendors, and street cleaners coming on through.
I hope you all have a fantastic New Year’s celebration, whatever you decide to do. Here’s a look at my 2015, I can’t wait to see what 2016 has to bring!
2015 in Pictures
The year started off with two amazing bridal showers. One thrown by my mom and sister, and the other thrown by my mother- and sister-in-law, and of course, my bridesmaids!
These festivities were followed up by a ridiculously fun bachelorette party in the Finger Lakes (of course it was during a cold snap with temperatures staying well below freezing!)
I then got to marry my most favorite guy with all our friends and family by our side!
We then spent a few days in Jamaica on our Mini-Moon!
I got to see my childhood bestie get married and was Matron of Honor in her wedding!
AJ and I spent 2 weeks in Europe on our honeymoon. It was my first time over there, and we had an amazing time exploring and eating our way through France, Spain, and Italy!

When I got home, I was surprised with an awesome 30th Birthday party – with a Christmas in July theme!
This fall I ran the Jersey City Newport Half Marathon.
We attended the weddings of more close friends and family.
Explored NYC (and saw the pope!)
We finished off the year by getting into the Christmas spirit and home and shared the holidays with both of our families.
Oh yeah, and I started this blog in August. Thank you for stopping by and I can’t wait to share even more with you in 2016 🙂
