Hi all, I hope your Sunday is going well! It’s been a while since I did a Weekly Dinner post so I thought I’d give you a little look into what the Laferrera household has been eating for the past week. We enjoyed two Blue Apron dishes as well as a couple nights of takeout because some nights takeout is just necessary.
Sunday 1/10 – Takeout! Santa Fe Chicken Rice Bowl, from Pita Grill.
Monday 1/11 – Stopped at Whole Foods on my way home from work and decided on making Oven Roasted Salmon (with black sea salt) and a side of Roasted Brussels Sprouts. I might have started eating my salmon before I remembered to take the picture…typical.
Tuesday 1/12 – Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches with Endive and Blue Cheese Salad
Thursday 1/14 – AJ’s Homemade Pizza. Prosciutto, Mozzarella, Caramelized Onion deliciousness.
Friday 1/15 – Takeout! Half of a chicken parm sandwich from the appropriately named restaurant, Parm. (Which reminds me I still have the other half in the fridge!)
Saturday 1/16 – Date night! We made our way to Crave Fishbar, a new restaurant on the UWS. Apparently everyone else in the neighborhood had the same idea because this place was packed and we had to wait about 45 minutes for a seat at the bar.
We started off with 4 East Coast Oysters (2 Blue Point and 2 Malpeque), and an appetizer of the Fluke Ceviche Tostada.
For our entrees, I went with the Local Diver Sea Scallops (I always do!) and AJ chose the Seared Rare Yellowfin Tuna.
Bonus Brunch! Sunday 1/17 – After church this morning we stopped into the iconic Zabar’s for a bagel with cream cheese and lox. We decided to pick up the pre-made sandwiches which were good, but I still prefer to buy all the ingredients individually to make our own. The bagel was topped with chive cream cheese too, which was not something I would choose. Obviously I still ate the whole thing. I also decided I needed this free mug by signing up for their newsletter!
