Hello again! I hope you’re doing well this fine Friday. After taking a break from Friday Favorites last week, I’m back at it again today. You might notice my fancy new banner at the top of the page. I decided these weekly posts needed a little pizzazz and since a hazy view of the New York City skyline is always my favorite thing, I thought it would be the perfect backdrop.
Now on to some other good things!
Sweet Onion Wheat Thins
A box of these found their way into my grocery cart earlier this week and I’m am loving this snack! It’s a perfect blend of sweet and salty that keeps me reaching for them every time I walk by the kitchen. They’re the perfect mid-afternoon pick-me-up snack too, so I’ve been packing a little baggie full each day to take to work.
Bauble Bar Sample Sale (NYC)
For all my NYC friends, I got an email that the Bauble Bar Sample Sale starts next week! This is definitely dangerous, but I plan on stopping by to stock up on some of their beautiful jewelry at seriously reduced prices (think $50 necklaces for $10!). I’ll report back next Friday on the gems I bring home with me 🙂
Okay, I’ll fully admit, this one is just mean. I came across the Love What Matters Facebook page a couple months ago and I can’t figure out if I’m happy or sad about that. I got my sister into it as well and she now sends me screen shots of the stories that make her cry. I’m like, Stop it! I was trying to avoid that today.
This page highlights sweet, heart-warming stories that can’t help but put a smile on your face or tears in your eyes. It’s a welcome break from all of the ridiculousness that tends to fill up Facebook news feeds, but man….sometimes I have to just keep scrolling!
Turning Off Facebook Notifications
Speaking of Facebook, who else gets so tired of all the notifications that you get? I oftentimes find myself not commenting on popular wedding or baby posts because they usually get a ton of other comments and I don’t need a notification every time someone’s friend/sister/cousin/uncle comments on how happy or excited they are.
Well, fear no more! And you probably already know this, but you can turn off these notifications by clicking on the little carrot on top of each post and selecting “Turn off notifications for this post”. Hooray! So comment away my friends, without the repercussions of your phone buzzing every 15 seconds.
Coming Home After a Trip
I had so much fun on our New Orleans adventure, but there’s nothing like coming home to your own home and bed after a trip! Before I leave, I try to clean up and change the sheets because it’s so nice to come home to an organized house and crisp bed sheets. Although, I could have used a few more days away from work 😉
We got a delivery of Home Chef this week too, so that meant just a quick grocery store run on Tuesday, which is always a good thing. I’m looking forward to a quiet Easter weekend in NYC to catch up on normal life before a full work week and having AJ’s travels start up again.

Happy Friday 🙂
