Stitch Fix Review #3

Another Stitch Fix shipment came last week, and once again I eagerly ripped into the box as soon as I saw it waiting for me after work. (My earlier reviews can be found here and here.)

To be honest, this wasn’t my most favorite fix, but it’s probably for the best because I really didn’t want to spend a lot of money on it this month. I ended up selecting just one item, keep reading to find out what I chose!

May Stitch Fix Review

A Look at my Latest Fix!

Before each order, I have the opportunity to make a note for my stylist about what I hope to receive. This month I don’t think I requested anything specific, just general cute pieces for summer. I also shared my Spring and Summer Styles Pinterest Board to give some further inspiration, which my stylist did use!

Toms Lexie Woven Sandal

You know, when I saw these shoes I had mixed feelings. My first thought was, meh. But when I looked at them again I did think they were cute and I’m sure would be very comfortable since they’re Toms brand.

However, I didn’t love and have my eye on some cuter summer sandals, so this was an easy pass.

Market & Spruce Carl Ruched Knit Dress

If you look at my Pinterest board, you’ll know I am pretty obsessed with white and navy stripes this season, so I thought this would be keeper for sure. However, the side ruching was kind of weird, so once again it made my decision to pass pretty easy.

41Hawthorn McAdams Beaded Neckline Blouse

I hoped this top would be a keeper, but as I feared, it was just too blousy for me. I like flowy tops, but I felt like I just got a little lost in this one, so another return.

Renee C Jordie Abstract Chevron Print Maxi Skirt

Okay, so I honestly didn’t expect to like this maxi skirt (even though my stylist did choose it based on skirts I had saved to my Pinterest board). I felt the pattern was a bit much and I thought it would overwhelm my small frame.

Once I tried it on though, I fell in love a little bit! Of course it was super comfy, and the length worked for me – a rarity when it comes to maxi skirts. This ended up being the lucky winner from this fix!

Market & Spruce Jillian Crochet Detail Tank

I really liked this tank. The color matched the maxi skirt perfectly, and the detailing on the back was so cute! (Ignore my bra straps I was definitely too lazy to switch to a strapless bra for the photo.

But unfortunately I felt like it wasn’t a good fit, and was another top that just felt a bit too big, which was a shame. I definitely am keeping my eye out for another similar blue tank to pair with my chevron print maxi for the summer.

The Summary

  • Toms Lexi Woven Sandal ($59) – RETURN
  • Market & Spruce Carl Ruched Knit Dress ($58) – RETURN
  • 41Hawthorn McAdams Beaded Neckline Blouse ($58) – RETURN
  • Renee C Jordie Abstract Chevron Print Maxi Skirt ($58) – KEEP!
  • Market & Spruce Jillian Crochet Detail Tank ($48) – RETURN

I was even more excited because I already paid the $20 styling fee, so the skirt I ended up keeping only cost me $38 at checkout…win! (Although, if you DO fall in love with everything in your fix, you’ll receive a 25% discount. Not a bad deal!)
